Lacey Faris found her love for fashion through self expression at a very young age. Being dubbed a "Fashion Plate" by family members as early as age four, she strutted around in her finest lace leggings and knit winter hats, even going as far as to snub her nose at garments without pockets. As she grew up, Lacey constantly looked for new ways to break the mold through fashion, be it reconstructing clothes or digging through nostalgic 70's pieces in her mother's closet. "I strive to strike a balance of what's trendy while making it uniquely my own at the same time," says Lacey. Lacey maintained this attitude while modeling for local photographers and fashion shows in her hometown of Sacramento. "Modeling has been such a fun experience for me, and I think my favorite part had to be the collaboration of ideas that take place with the team involved in a shoot, and really having input and seeing those ideas come to life."

Knowing there was a place for her somewhere in the industry to really learn the ropes and see her ideas unfold, Lacey set out to pursue a position with Couture Connection as a Production Assistant. "Couture Connection is really paving the way for me to see this whole other side of the fashion world that I wouldn't necessarily get to experience as a model. I get to throw myself into the planning and execution of these fabulous events with an amazing team, and the whole process is really energizing!"

Lacey's dream is to someday take her knowledge and experience from Couture Connection into the world of wardrobe styling. "I'm always inspired when I have the opportunity to help someone look their best. If you look amazing, you feel amazing. We all know the feeling we get when we put on a pair of 4 inch heels, or try that new fuchsia lip color everyone's raving about when we're having a blah day. It's empowering! It takes confidence to pull off a look that isn't necessarily what you would choose everyday, and that can do amazing things for how you feel about yourself."
