I am really excited after last night’s meeting! Fred had a great time listening to ALL the fun plans for Sac Fashion Week, however, he is really sad that he cannot make it to the ticket drive for Tiana Show this Thursday.
I have made some great contacts, and once I get the final dates for SFW, then I can get some AWESOME sponsors for us! YEEEE

Tonight…like EVERY Monday night…was our several hour long meeting to plan Sacramento Fashion Week. Yes, yes…this event isn’t until the second week of November….but it REALLY DOES take this long to plan and put on an event.
This year… Magnum Opus has hired Couture Connection to co produce Sac Fashion Week. We are, of course, VERY honored to be asked to do this..and very excited for our chance to help take Sac Fashion Week (SFW) to the next level.
But Sean, you ask…. Isn’t Couture Connection already working on Co Producing the Largest fashion show in Sacramento history right now??? Yes! Now we are working on producing two very large shows. While SFW isn’t quite as large as the the Designing Dreams Fashion Show….it is VERY large in it’s scope. We have to plan 4 shows, a full day of workshops and ending with a final day of Trunk Shows.
But we have an amazing team, and as always…they will rise to the challenge!
Much thanks & appreciation needs to go out to Kim & Sean for putting together such an amazing team of people together which is now Couture Connection. Each member comes with their own strengths & specialties that are unique. I have met so many wonderful people through Couture Connection that I can relate to 100% including my amazing boyfriend Rickey (he was just an added bonus to already a wonderful thing with Couture Connection) I often joke that we are a group of ADD adults which is so true but one thing is for sure we are ALWAYS having a good time whether it’s in the office, at a photo, shoot or attending an event. I love that we can all go out as a PR group to local fashion shows and launches and have fun together. I have always had a passion for fashion and now I get to do what I have always loved.

I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to be part of the Couture Connection team and to work with such amazing and hard working people! I couldn’t have asked for anything better!
We just got into the new place, and are in the process of setting up and decorating, which I always find to be so fun and exciting, adding a whole new energy to everything going on. Last week, I worked logging invoices into the computer and making contact lists. Originally I was supposed to work Thursday but was able to switch to work Friday instead, so I could go to Santa Cruz on Thursday with a group of friends. Santa Cruz was amazing! We played on the beach all day. It was the perfect summer day! Good friends, good food, and good fun! So, I would like to give a big thank you to Sean and Kim, who let me take the day off Thursday to go to Santa Cruz and work Friday instead. I really appreciate it!
It has been amazing working at Couture Connection so far and I am very very excited to be on board for the exciting ride that lies ahead!
I cannot begin to express my tremendous admiration and respect for Kim and Sean for being so dedicated and professional. I am so proud and honored to be a part of Couture Connection and all it’s moving parts. This is such an exciting time and I can’t wait to keep going, going and going with them!
